Other Agencies
School staff work closely with a number of visiting professionals to ensure that the holistic needs of individual pupils enjoy high status in the school environment.
Social Workers
A Social Worker from the Children with Disabilities Team (or the Adult Team) will usually be invited to a pupil’s Annual Review of SEN meeting although there can be no guarantee that a social worker will actually be present. Parents may also request access to a social worker via the school, and/or the head teacher may refer a child to social services should circumstances demand.
Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy Service provides an advisory service and our therapist visits school regularly to see individuals, groups of pupils and supervise the delivery of speech and language therapy programmes by school staff.
Physiotherapy
Visits by qualified physiotherapists are carried out regularly to assess the mobility needs of pupils, carry out physiotherapy programmes and/or supervise the implementation of physiotherapy programmes by school staff.
Occupational Therapist
Visits by qualified Occupational Therapist are carried out regularly to assess the positional and access needs of pupils, carry out programmes and/or supervise the implementation of programmes by school staff.
Music Therapist
The services of a music therapist are purchased by the school.
