Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum is intended to;

· Provide pupils with a relevant and purposeful sequential learning program, which builds on prior learning to engage learners to know more and do more.

· Provide context and relevance to learning through sign posted curricular links, which add breadth and depth to learning through application and rehearsing of skills and knowledge.

· Provide pupils with a level of autonomy appropriate to their age and cognitive awareness to support independence and self-advocacy.

· Provide pupils with a range of personal development opportunities to enrich their learning journey and prepare learners for adulthood.

· Provide pupils with opportunities to inspire and develop resilience and creativity to enable learners to problems solve and take risks to feel empowered within the wider world
